Jessica has been working with animals since the age of 10 when she started volunteering with a local animal rescue. She has been involved in the animal care industry for over 30 yrs. She started working in vetmed at 16 and has worked as a Vet Tech for more than 25 yrs. Her artistic abilities led her into professional grooming where she became a Nationally Certified Master Groomer along with several certifications in animal care. She has traveled the country and won dozens of awards and placements putting her in the top of her career as a competition groomer. She judges and speaks at conferences all over the US. Jessica shows poodles with a passion for breed preservation and responsible breeding. Her true passion is providing compassionate, low stress care for pets and helping build the human/dog bond thru quality care, understanding and training.
MacKenzie-Head Trainer
Hi! My name is MacKenzie, and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I currently own two amazing pups — Reptar, a 5-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix, and Stryker, an almost 3-year-old Belgian Malinois.
My journey with dogs began early — I started pet sitting at age 12 and began working with dogs professionally by 14. At 16, I brought home Reptar, my first personal dog, and trained him to be my diabetic alert dog.
After graduating high school, I continued my education at Kennelwood Academy for Professional Dog Trainers in Union, Missouri, where I gained hands-on experience in:
• Puppy imprinting and early development
• Introduction to agility
• Specific odor detection
• Search and rescue and competition-style tracking
• Advanced trained retrieves and competitive obedience
• Protection development and client communication
I’m passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong, trusting relationships. When I’m not training, I love being outdoors with my dogs — we enjoy competing in dock diving, and Stryker is also trained in conservation detection work.
